Get Creative! An Interactive Writing Workshop for
Children with Award-Winning Children’s Author, Sarah Webb
For ages 10-12yrs
If your child likes creating characters and
settings and coming up with original ideas, they will love this fun interactive
workshop with Sarah Webb. During the workshop, the young writers will dream up
their own bookshop, café or hang out space and write a story, poem or comic
strip about it. Will it be a bookshop run by cats, or a climbing wall with its
own donut café? They will decide!
Sarah Webb is an award-winning Irish
children’s author, creative writing teacher and Events Manager at Halfway up
the Stairs children’s bookshop, Greystones. Her books include Blazing a Trail:
Irish Women who Changed the World (illustrated by Lauren O’Neill) and The
Weather Girls, which was inspired by real WW2 events in Ireland. Her new
children’s book, The Bookshop Sisters, set in Dublin in 1956 was published
in May by The O’Brien Press.
