To join in the Artist Trading Cards fun in Dalkey Library you can create any number of artworks, at home, on 6.3cm x 8.9cm sized card relating to the theme "Birds" (for August)

You can then start to build your own collection of cards by bringing the cards you created to the meet up and swap them with other members of the group at the relaxed social meeting.

The theme for August is "Birds" and at this meeting we will select the theme for the following month.

Join us for bilingual family crafts! Ages 6-8, all levels of Irish welcome.

Step into the peaceful surroundings of Dalkey Library and enjoy a relaxed colouring session for all ages.

Colour in a lobster and other sea creatures in the quiet comfort of our meeting room, creating your own seaside masterpieces in a calm and welcoming space. While the festival buzzes outside and crowds fill the streets, the library offers a tranquil retreat and from the front window you can soak up the atmosphere of the Lobster Festival without leaving the serenity of the meeting room to the front of the library.

Practice speaking Irish in a relaxed art filled workshop.

We will use Geli plates to make fun abstract prints that are vibrant and full of colour. Through Irish I will introduce you to all the materials involved in Geli plate printing. We will use water based paint but it can get messy so dress for a mess!

This adult event is aimed at learners of Irish at all levels. Through some fun facilitated art activities as well as some free speaking time all participants are encouraged to learn and share Irish together. Most importantly the focus of the workshop is speaking practice. Helpful conversation phrases will be on the tables.

No art background necessary.

Join Aoife Munn in Dalkey Library for a card making workshop where children will get to create their own wonderful card for any occasion.

For ages 8-11yrs, booking essential.

Join Olga for an adult crochet session. This time we'll make a summer bracelet. It's an easy and pretty project, but for this workshop, you should know at least the basic crochet stitches.

Participants should bring their own materials.
