Spanish/English Conversation Exchange takes place every Tuesday evening in The Central Library. No need to book - all welcome! 

First come, first seated.

Come along to learn new skills, work on projects or to have relaxed conversations about needle craft. All levels of ability are welcome.

Mondays 11am - 12.30pm

Anyone who wishes to register for My Open Library must first attend an induction tour. These take place in the library and may take up to 30 minutes. 

You must have a valid Dublin City Libraries card and you must bring a valid age ID (passport, age card etc.)  

You MUST be aged 16 or over to register for this service. A parent or guardian must accompany 16 - 17 year olds to the induction tour and also become an MOL member (each person must book a separate space on the induction tour). 

Under 16s can only access the library during unstaffed hours if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Witness the changing faces of our towns, streets, and community. Whether you've lived in Meath all your life or are new to the area, come along to celebrate our shared heritage.

Do you want to read more regularly but want something short to read?  Or improve your English by reading out loud in front of others? This book club meets every week and reads two or three chapters from a selected book. Participants pick a paragraph or page to read aloud at the next meeting.

Clones Library's Alzheimer's support group offers vital emotional, social, and practical benefits for family members, helping to alleviate loneliness, stress, and anxiety.  They provide a safe space to share experiences, gain expert information on dementia, exchange practical caregiving tips, and connect with others in similar situations.

Learn to make a small basket, using a natural willow branch frame, in a workshop presented by "Wicklow Willow".This project is a great opportunity to learn basic basket-making techniques and to take home a finished piece. 

Booking essential!

This is a series of 4 mindfulness workshops on 13th May, 20th May, 3rd June and 10th June 10.30am-11.30am.Participants should be available to attend all four workshops.

This 4-week series is open to anyone who would like to explore mindfulness, whether they have tried it before or not. Each session will involve guided practices, led by Sally Dunne who is trained by The Sanctuary, Dublin and The Mindfulness Assoc. UK. There will also be some gentle mindful movement which can be done seated or standing. Audio recordings will be shared with participants to use between sessions. Establishing a home practice is encouraged so that you can gain as much as possible from this short course.

This is a Healthy Ireland at your library event.

Kerli from Kildare County  Childcare Committee will be available to offer advice and answer questions on childcare supports , accessing early years services and give details on parent & toddler groups and play opportunities in the locality.
