Explore the benefits of journaling in this practical and reflective workshop for adults. Megan Wynne introduces how journaling can support mental health, improve sleep, strengthen relationships, boost creativity, aid emotional regulation, and help create clear life visions.

Participants learn and practice a variety of gentle journaling exercises.

Join us every Tuesday at 2.00pm for our Storytime and Craft.  Our Tuesday storytimes offer a great opportunity for toddlers to listen to a fun story and get creative with our themed craft as well as interact with their peers. 

After the storytime and craft, we often use our Magic Table featuring lots of interactive sensory games.

Join us for a drop in arts and crafts session. Craft materials will be provided. This session will have a neuroinclusive area with a sensory dark pop up tent, sensory floor tiles and sensory items.

Guardians must stay in the library for the duration of the session. 

Celebrate Bike Week 2026 with a children's craft for 7-12 year olds. This event is facilitated by Athy Library staff.

Do you love drawing, writing, imagining new worlds—or just want a place to express yourself? We’re putting together a relaxed, comic creation club, and we want to hear from you!

Join creative writing teacher Veronica Casey, for this engaging workshop as part of The Artful Brain dlr series. Veronica will focus on using writing as a tool for self-expression, reflection, and emotional well-being, as she guides participants of all levels in a safe, supportive space.

Come to Graig Library on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 6pm. We will be watching a film using the library's free streaming service - Kanopy - and we will have a selection of recommended reads along with them.

We are pleased to introduce a new peer support group for parents and guardians of children with dyslexia. This welcoming and informal group offers a space to share experiences, exchange practical tips, and connect with others who understand the challenges and successes of supporting a child with dyslexia.

The group will meet monthly in Mayfair Library whether you’re looking for advice, reassurance, or simply a listening ear, you are very welcome to join us.
