To celebrate Bloomsday, Dalkey Library Colleague Brendan will be discussing Joyce’s French connections! From the student stay mocked in Ulysses through his decades living there with Nora and, of course, the publication of his masterpiece, Paris & France were integral to his life & work. Join us as we discuss the places and people that impacted this genius in self-imposed exile.

Join Enid for an intergenerational event where you will get to create your own decoupage glass jar!

For children ages 11+ along with an accompanying adult

This is an all the family "intergenerational" event where a child and an adult can participate together. So if you are a Parent, Guardian, Grandparent, Aunt or Uncle (or even a child minder) you can sign up for yourself and your child to attend this event.

Booking is essential. Please book a ticket for both yourself and your child.

This decoupage workshop is for children over the age of 11yrs and will be using napkins and mod podge to create a decorative glass jar. If you have some nice paper napkins, and in order to be sustainable, do bring the napkins with you. However there will also be pretty napkins supplied at this event.

Calling all Scrabble enthusiasts! Join our Scrabble Club in Dundrum Library and test yourself against Dundrum's fellow Scrabblers!

Teddy Bears Picnic Doodle, for ages 5 yrs +

Join us in Dalkey Library for our "Teddy Bears Picnic Monster Doodle" 

Collaborate on a giant paper playground, grab your favourite colours and make your mark alongside fellow teddy bears on our oversize paper.

This is a Summer Stars activity where children are encouraged to read all through the Summer months while visiting their local library regularly.

Booking is essential and children must be accompanied by an adult

Join Anyone 4 Science to learn about Bee habitats and make a Bee House for your garden at this Summer Stars Dalkey Library event.
