Indulge your creative spirit with like‑minded enthusiasts. Our knitting and craft group meets weekly to work on personal projects, share inspiration, and swap helpful tips. Whether you’re an experienced maker or are still struggling with your first project, you’ll find a friendly space to create, chat, and unwind. All are welcome.

The ‘My Shadow - Living with MS’ exhibition by Ruth Donnelly Burden is a collection of art pieces that represent the Artist's personal journey with Multiple Sclerosis. Its aim is to raise awareness of the disease and highlight some of the difficulties faced by people living with disability within our community. All welcome.

DUPLO Morning for toddlers and their parents. Play with blocks with your child and meet other parents. Suitable for children from 18 months to 5 years.

This course will take place every Tuesday for 6 weeks.

Our Beginners Irish Classes for Adults, led by the highly regarded Mícheál Ó Máirtín, offer a friendly and encouraging introduction to the Irish language. This 6‑week course is perfect for complete beginners as well as those looking to brush up on the basics they learned long ago. Through gentle conversation practice, simple grammar, and practical everyday phrases, Mícheál creates a relaxed atmosphere where learners can build confidence and enjoy reconnecting with the richness of the Irish language. Join artist Rachel Burke for a Watercolour Painting Workshop on Tuesday 12th of May, 10.30am to 12.30pm. Participants will be painting Irish May flowers using watercolours, and will be guided in how to draw and paint native flowers. All materials will be provided and all abilities are welcome.

Join Donegal-based artist and collector Maura Logue of Dark Daughter Productions for an engaging and entertaining talk exploring vintage Irish fashion. Drawing on over 30 years of collecting, Maura shares stories behind beautifully crafted garments, with a focus on natural fibres, sustainability and Irish-made design.

Through her work in theatre and “Animated Histories,” Maura brings the past to life, weaving together fashion, storytelling and heritage. This relaxed, conversational talk offers a fascinating insight into the fabrics, styles and traditions that have shaped Irish identity - along with a few colourful tales from Maura’s own collection along the way.

Join us in Athy Library to celebrate Bealtaine! Viola player Aoise O'Dwyer enjoys a varied career as a chamber and orchestral musician, performing regularly with the Irish National Opera Orchestra and the RTE Concert Orchestra, and as a solo player she specialises in music written by women composers. She is delighted to be performing a series of recitals at Kildare Libraries in May as part of the Bealtaine Festival. Join Aoise for an hour of solo viola music by composers such as Dobrinka Tabakova (Bulgaria), Libby Croad (England), Dominique Le Genre (Trinidad and Tobago), Valeria Romero (Argentina) and Maria Newman (USA). All are welcome!
